The Houston Astros are in familiar territory heading into their fourth World Series in the past six years.
On the other hand, the Philadelphia Phillies advanced to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2009. The Astros are looking to secure their second World Series title while shaking off the reputation that came with a sign-stealing scandal in 2017.
The Phillies found success in this year’s postseason after finishing third in the NL East behind impactful hits from Bryce Harper. Both championship-contending franchises feature one former Rangers player, with Rafael Montero pitching for the Astros and Kyle Gibson forming part of the Phillies’ bullpen.
Game 1 will take place at 7 p.m. Friday at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Here is who our experts predict will win this year’s World Series:
