Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts comparison
There are a few quarterbacks who have been dominating the league. Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes are two such quarterbacks. They have been having a season with star numbers. Accordingly, both have people in their corners who believe in their potential to be the MVP of the league. NFL player-turned-analyst Shannon Sharpe believes that Patrick Mahomes has been doing amazing things on the field. On ‘Undisputed’, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless went on to compare the MVP front runners in Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes. While Sharpe believes Mahomes is deserving, Bayless is a staunch supporter of Hurts.
Making an argument for his choice for MVP, Shannon Sharpe said, “Patrick Mahomes I think if I’m not mistaken is 25-7 he’s a little less than 3 000 yards it doesn’t work Skip at the end of the day yes you want wins but MVP in any of these awards for Pro Sports it’s still a stat award.” In retort, Skip talks about the impact Jalen Hurts has had on the team and discounts Patrick Mahomes’ statistical achievement.

Skip Bayless truly believes in Jalen Hurts and his ability to inspire and support the team. He even went ahead and said, “Jalen hurts has done more, he’s been more valuable to his team than Holmes has been well he just has been because he changed the whole culture that team has been rebuilt around his backbone around his his commitment his dedication he is the leader and the playmaker for that team.”

Both the sports analysts clearly have picked who they are supporting and they’ve made it clear what their reasons are. Skip Bayless clearly feels like Jalen Hurts has more of an impact in terms of the culture of the team as well as the leadership. Shannon Sharpe made it clear that the stats Mahomes has been putting up is phenomenal and that there cannot be a more clear-cut basis for his reason to be the league’s MVP. The question that remains is who will win the MVP this year and how will they perform for their teams.
