After Witnessing Simone Biles Win Gold, What Is Tom Cruise Planning for Paris Olympics Trip?

If you had told us that we’d witness 100 boats carrying some of the best athletes in the world across the Seine, we wouldn’t have believed you! But the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony was one for the history books, and many still can’t seem to talk about it. Seeing how they pulled off something as grand as that, many wonder if the closing ceremony will be just as Magnifique. The Summer Games officially concluded, but we might have missed an Easter egg throughout the games so far.
Hollywood star Tom Cruise has been a recurring bystander in the crowds in the French capital. He was last spotted in the Bercy Arena captivated by Simone Biles‘ enthralling routine. But, likely, this isn’t the last time we see him in Paris. We already know that the next location for the Summer Games will be Los Angeles. And it looks like the Mission: Impossible star might be pivotal in them taking over.

The women’s gymnastics team finals were underway at the Bercy Arena on July 30. However, in an unexpected crossover, many fans spotted Tom Cruise cheering Team USA on in the stands. But this wouldn’t be the first time the Hollywood star appeared at the French capital. He also got to witness the iconic opening ceremony firsthand on July 26. The closing ceremony is set to take place on August 11 at Stade de France, and the 62-year-old might not attend the thrilling show as a mere spectator.

While no one knows what to expect from the Closing Ceremony, one piece of information has been made public. The French capital’s Mayor Anne Hidalgo will hand over the Olympic flag to L.A.’s Mayor Karen Bass, signifying them handing over the Summer Games to the next host city. However, Deadline reported that it will be a little more grandeur. “Expect a major Hollywood production,” it wrote, quoting a“well-positioned source”. With Cruise’s inclusion, we could possibly expect something out of a Mission: Impossible movie.
