How to Watch Monday Night Football Games on ESPN+
Gone are the days of simply switching channels to catch all of your favorite NFL games, and it can be hard to keep track of which games are streaming on which platforms. For example, Prime Video is the streaming home for Thursday Night Football, while Sunday football games are available on NBC, CBS, Paramount+ and Peacock, and some Monday Night Football games are scheduled to simulcast on ESPN+.
With ESPN+, you’ll get access to football and more for $9.99 a month (or bundle with Disney+ and Hulu). Watch the NFL, college football, soccer, MLB, NBA, NHL, UFC, PGA Tour, Top Rank, PLL Playoffs, Premiere League, La Liga, cricket and other sporting events on ESPN+.
What else can you stream on ESPN+? Sports lovers can binge dozens of must-watch series and TV shows, and original content such as PPV fights, the entire 30 for 30 series and tons of other exclusive such as The Captain, Tom Brady: Man in the Arena, Al Davis vs. The NFL, Vick, Be Like Water, Breakaway, More Than An Athlete with Michael Strahan, Eli’s Place, Abby’s Place, The Place’s Universe, Why Not Us: Grambling Dance and Our Time Baylor Basketball.
Keep in mind, while there are different ways to watch football games from your TV, phone, laptop or computer, the price will vary depending on which platform that you choose. Fortunately, ESPN is available on several streamers including DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV.
Hulu + Live TV gives you access to 90+ channels in edition to ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+, and DVR storage, for $76.99/month.
And if you’re looking for an NFL Sunday Ticket discount, Verizon’s promo has ended, but DirecTV is offering free rewards cards up to $400, which you can use to score free access to NFL Sunday Ticket. See more details here.
Monday Night Football: Games, Dates & Time
Monday Night Football kicked off on Sept. 11 and will continue into January 2024. The MNF kickoff games between the Jets and Buffalo Bills drew a record-breaking 22.6 million viewers making it the most watched MNF game in history beating out the previous record-holder, a 2009’s game between the Packers and Vikings.
Meanwhile, NFL ratings have received a boost as of late thanks to Taylor Swift. Although Swift missed a few games including a recent Chiefs vs. Dolphins matchup in Germany, she has been showing support for new flame Travis Kelce even from afar. The pop star threw a reported watch party at her New York City apartment on Nov. 5 and her support may have paid off because the Chiefs beat the Dolphins 21-14.
Swift has been spotted cheering on Kelce at several home games including a Thursday Night Football game in October. And she could be making an appearance at an upcoming Monday Night Football game later this month to watch Travis and the Chiefs face his brother, Jason Kelce, and the Philadelphia Eagles, although it might be wishful thinking since she’s back on tour.
The Chiefs vs. Eagles game will take place on Nov. 20 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. (get tickets here) and will air on ESPN, ABC and stream on ESPN+.
Tickets for the game are in high-demand. Currently, the cheapest tickets are priced at around $338, while the most expensive tickets cost more $1,800. Tickets are selling fast, so if you want to be there in person, it’s best to grab your tickets early (save $10 off eligible purchases of $250+ at Seat Geek with code: BILLBOARD10. Valid on first purchase only).
Fans who want to watch live, either from home or on-the-go, can stream select NFL games on ESPN+ including the aforementioned Eagles vs. Chiefs game next month and Green Bay vs. Giants on Dec. 11. The Chiefs are scheduled to play another MNF game on Dec. 18 against the New England Patriots — the game will air on ESPN and stream live on ESPN+.
Lastly, the second-to-last MNF game of the year will be the Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 25 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara Calif. The Christmas Day game will air live on ABC and ESPN and stream on ESPN+. If you’d rather watch the Christmas game live from the stadium alongside thousands of fans, click here to get your tickets early. Tickets start at $92.
Christmas Day will be packed with three NFL games on the schedule, including the Giants vs. Eagles airing at 4:30 p.m. ET on Fox and Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders airing at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
Speaking of the holidays, the Dallas Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders in a Thanksgiving Game slated for Thursday, Nov. 23 (get tickets here). The final MNF game of the year will be played on Dec. 30 between the Detroit Lions and Cowboys.
Dolly Parton will headline the halftime show, the country legend announced on Oct. 16. “We’re going to do some stuff that everybody can sing along to,” Parton told CBS This Morning’s Norah O’Donnell. “They’ll know the songs I’m doing. … I want people to be surprised and enjoy it.”
The Cowboys vs. Commanders game will air on Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
If you haven’t already noticed, MNF sounds a bit different this season. That’s because ESPN enlisted the help of Timbaland and Justin Timberlake to curate the music for select MNF games.
In September, the NFL debuted the official MNF theme featuring Chris Stapleton, Snoop Dogg and Cindy Blackman Santana. The song is a cover of Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight.”
The remaining MNF matchups for this season will include the Bears vs. Vikings, Broncos vs. Bills, 49ers vs. Ravens, Chiefs vs. Patriots and Lions vs. Cowboys. Click here to get tickets to see your favorite NFL games in person.
Marvel fans were able to catch the final trailer for The Marvels, which premiered during last Monday’s game. The film hit theaters on Nov. 10.
Want to stream MNF from outside of the U.S.? With ExpressVPN, NordVPN and PureVPN you can access several streaming platforms and channels.
