The Disaster news coming from Syria and Turkey has shaken the entire world. The reports revealed that a massive earthquake killed more than 2000 innocent lives on Monday. The death toll could increase as the disaster severely injured many civilians. Countries across the globe promised relief aid and rescue workers to the affected areas, and it’s considered the deadliest earthquake of the decade. The sports world joined the citizens to express their grief via social media. Notably, the Turkish NBA star Alperen Sengun wrote a heartfelt note for the people of his country.
Countries from Europe, Asia, North America, and the Middle East have come forward and promised to carry out relief in the grief-stricken areas. Moreover, the citizens of Turkey and Syria shared several grim videos of the earthquake on social media leaving the rest of the world in sorrow.
NBA star Alperen Sengun pens down heartbreaking note

The Houston Rockets star Alperen Sengun took to his Twitter and expressed his grief on the natural disaster. The Turkish basketball star wrote, “The pain we experience is indescribable. My prayers, my heart is with our citizens who were affected by the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş… R.I.P. to those who lost their lives, I wish a speedy recovery to the injureds. #PrayForTurkey.” Moreover, the star made his debut for the Rockets in the last season and he currently averages 11.9 points in 120 games.

Meanwhile, the United Nations General Assembly maintained a minute of silence for the victims of the natural disaster in Syria and Turkey. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, “Our teams are on the ground assessing the needs and providing assistance. We count on the international community to help the thousands of families hit by this disaster, many of whom were already in dire need of humanitarian aid in areas where access is a challenge,”
