Sports bike price, moped performance, all in one comfortable quality package for cycling enthusiasts. Is this E-bike really the top of the range? Or is the price completely unjustified?
We all know what they are cars And motorbikes most expensive in the world. Have you ever wondered how much can it cost instead an E-Bike? Beyond what price range can we start talking about luxury cycling? Of course, we have the answer and are ready to share it with you. But first, we have to take a nice trip to Switzerland, right over the border.
New horizons
On its official website updated just this year, the Swiss house Stromer announces to be: “Here to change everything”. Indeed, the portal of the house ordered with maniacal precision and perfectly accessible to all potential customers contains some electric bicycles that will forever change the way you conceive and look at E-Bikes.
We recently found out with careful research that one particular model of this Swiss brand is the most expensive mass-produced electric-powered bicycle in the world. In the list we obviously do not consider the artisanal models or the one-offs, those let’s leave them to Ferrari let’s hope!
A motorcycle price
Also this year, for the second in a row, on the Stromer list we find the ST5, a very reassuring-looking technological E-bike with that gray frame solid and modern with which you can whiz on the bike paths of your neighborhood… if you are willing to pay how much you would pay for a brand new sports bike to have it on your bike rack in the car!
There Stromer ST5 costs 10,000 euros but beware, this is only the base price of the model. Imported into Italy by Binke Bikes, our electric bicycle represents the top of the range to the point that there are those who joke calling it the Bugatti of bicycles. But what makes the ST5 so expensive and unique?
Configure the future
First of all, the bicycle benefits from the Swiss policy that it does not impose particular restrictions of speed and power on E-Bikes: powered by an electric battery-powered engine mounted at the rear instead of in the center of the frame, the ST5 has a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour – it can keep up with your Piaggio without problems – and a range of 180 kilometers in total.

The bike is not only capable of shooting like a moped, it also has extremely powerful LED lights that won’t leave you on the coolest even on the darkest country path, tires specially made nothing less than from Pirelli, a structure to protect the batteries and even a built-in GPS, something that almost no other model can boast. But from here to pay 10,000 euros? Ask no questions: it is clearly a bike for the rich!
