You must be familiar with the world’s fattest guy, Usain Bolt, if you are a lover of track and field. At the beginning of 2023, one of the greatest track and field athletes of all time was the target of one of the largest frauds in history. A former employee of Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) stole $12.7 million from the account of the great Jamaican sprinter. Since then, the sportsman has sent many cryptic messages updating his fans on the progress of the hoax. The people of Jamaica are understandably furious over the massive fraud perpetrated against their country’s most celebrated athlete.
Usain Bolt has recently posted another enigmatic statement on his social media account, sparking further discussion over the scam that caused him to lose $12.7 million. The former sprinter just said a few words, but they created a tremendous debate amongst his devoted followers, who are desperate for news on the scam.

The Jamaican athlete started trading stocks with Jamaica’s second-oldest brokerage business, Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL), back in 2012. Bolt was confident in making a financial investment in the company because it already had thousands of investors. Bolt and his staff were taken aback by the news when they met with SSL personnel in the first weeks of the year. Before leaving SSL, a former employee stole Bolt’s riches and has never been located by the firm or the authorities.
Bolt has been rather quiet about the fraud since it occurred. But he has been keeping his devoted fans in the loop via a variety of social media channels, often with enigmatic comments. In addition to posting cryptic messages in the form of photos and videos on Instagram, he has also been known to share his own song, “Cryptic World,” in a select few posts and stories.

The people of Jamaica and his fans are understandably outraged by this, much more so than by the words he sent to his supporters. Many citizens feel strongly that the country’s supposed star athlete should be reimbursed for his expenses.
Fans rushing to the recent post furiously
His most recent tweet was another strange statement that went viral with over 300,000 views. Concerned followers rushed to the tweet because they wanted the athlete to obtain justice and get his money back from the scam.
Most of the comments were from his fans worried about him, as this comment read, “World’s BEST….they need to give you back your money!!! It’s the least they can do for what you have brought to this country.” The athlete also has full support from his country, as this comment read, “As is right. Know this, all well meaning Jamaicans support whatever legal steps you feel you must take on behalf of yourself and your family’s future.”

While the firm still faces outstanding legal proceedings, SSL is prohibited from engaging in any trading or investment-related activity by the Financial Services Commission (FSC). The athlete is still waiting to hear back on the matter and has yet to give an official update to the fans.
