From Island Travel Group:
When planning your spring break trip, I always recommend that you make decisions in a democratic manner, meaning everyone’s voice is heard and considered. In my opinion you can make it simple by everyone choosing a destination and giving an argument of
why it’s the best place to go. From there you can vote; majority rules.
Once you have a destination, let each family member or friend plan a day of your trip, so everyone gets to do what they want to do. Considering the interests and preferences of each traveler ensures a memorable and enjoyable vacation for everyone and will likely avoid drama.
Often times a main focus is safety. No one wants to be looking over their shoulder during the trip. Therefore, if you’re headed to the Caribbean, I recommend Aruba, Grand Cayman or Turks and Caicos. These islands are especially safe so you can walk or drive around and
try out restaurants, beaches, attractions, go to the grocery store, or order a pizza delivery to your room.
In Mexico, check out the island of Cozumel or Isla Mujeres if safety is a concern. An all-inclusive resort is typically the most stress-free, less decisions to be made, less logistics with plenty of entertainment on property. When you are considering an island that is mainly all-inclusive resorts, it is probably not as likely you will feel comfortable walking around or driving on your own.
I feel like teens are the hardest to satisfy. Older kids typically like the boogie board type surf so be specific in your quest for a good beach. Theme parks often ensure a fun-filled vacation for the whole family. Universal Studios is often better for the older kids.
But don’t forget about the historic NorthEast. There are breathtaking mountain ranges and ski resorts that cater to adults and families.
Consider a national park during this off-peak season. Experience the vibrant energy of the city.
It’s hard to beat a cruise these days. It’s hassle-free and the value is significant. They are somewhat inclusive; you see multiple destinations in one trip without all of the logistics getting between places, and you only have to pack and unpack once. Cruise lines cater to different types of guests and interests.
I think the winter is a great time for adults to visit the Mediterranean and you will love the less crowds. But it’s hard to find a family-friendly cruise to Europe in March, so opt for something in the Caribbean or Australia where it’s fall this time of year.
