These sweethearts got some serious swag — literally.
Getting anything for free seems virtually impossible nowadays.
But for engaged couple Megan Pierson and Dylan Coney, scoring complimentary goodies ahead of their big day has become second nature.
The nearly-weds — who plan to tie the knot this month — sent wedding invites to their favorite celebrities, fast food chains and sports teams.
“We didn’t think we would get any replies, but then the first one came in and we were so shocked,” Pierson, 26, a social media specialist from Calgary, Alberta, Canada told NeedToKnowOnline.
After she and Coney, a 26-year-old architectural technologist, noticed a misprint on 26 of their wedding invitations, the millennials decided to mail the flubbed notices to beloved bigwigs like Dolly Parton, Justin Bieber and Johnny Depp, as well as bell-ringing brands such as Chik-Fil-A, Starbucks and baseball’s Toronto Blue Jays.

And the main squeezes were smart to turn their wedding lemons into lemonade.
Last August, a blushing bride-to-be found herself cloaked in shame sending out invites that directed prospective guests to NSFW site PornHub rather than her wedding website. And in March 2023, a set of darlings were roasted on the spit by social media savages, who chastised them for inking their invitations with a ban on kids.
But thanks to some quick thinking from Pierson and Coney, who mailed out their messed up invites as a “joke,” never dreaming they’d ever hear back, they’re now up to their gills in gifts.

“Chick-Fil-A gave us a handwritten note along with a parcel full of goodies, and then we got a letter in the mail from our favorite baseball team, too,” said Pierson, who virally shared the news of her wedding windfall with over 5.9 million TikTok viewers.
“I’m so happy,” she exclaimed in the clip, while fawning over the trinkets from the chicken shack, which included a plushy cow toy, a tote bag, waffle fry-printed socks, food vouchers, keychains and a handwritten note.
“‘Hi Megan and Dylan, thank you for inviting us to your wedding,’” said an equally excited Coney, reading the restaurant’s letter aloud. “‘Although we can’t attend in person, we hope that you will enjoy all the goodies. Your friends at Chick-Fil-A.’”
And the box of cool loot sent TikTok tongues wagging.

“Love the brands that answer back, happy for you guys, wish you the best,” penned an impressed onlooker.
“Gonna pretend I’m getting married & do this,” joked a separate viewed.
“[Not gonna lie], I would send the invites just to get the gifts,” another wisecracked.
And the presents continued rolling into the lovebirds from there.

Days after receiving their parcel from the chicken hawkers, Pierson and Coney got a letter from the Blue Jays, congratulating them on their upcoming nuptials.
The honeys opened the envelope on TikTok and shared the team’s kind words to an audience of over 1.4 million.
“Dear Megan and Dylan, it has come to our attention that you two Blue Jay fans are celebrating a very special day,” read the mail.
“It is always great to hear the story of our fans who find each other and share the grand slam of love,” continued the correspondence. “On behalf of the entire Toronto Blue Jays baseball club, we would like to congratulate you on your wedding and wish you a lifetime of happiness together.”

And while the soon-to-be husband and wife seemed grateful for the letter, complaining commenters beneath the video griped that ball players failed to gift the pair with tickets to a game.
Pierson and Coney, however, say the thoughtful acknowledgments, whether big or small, have come as a welcomed perk of organizing their big day arrangements.
“This has been a great distraction from the stress of the wedding planning process,” said Pierson. In the wake of their viral video series, she and Coney were also gifted embroidered sweat suits stamped with “Wifey” and “Hubby,” from bridal company Six Stories.

“We haven’t been overly stressed,” added the blonde, “but getting these surprise packages has put a smile on our faces.”
And the twosome plans to cut the biggest grins if one of music’s biggest stars makes a pop-up appearance at their vow exchange.
“Let’s just say, if Dolly Parton somehow shows up for our wedding, nothing would ever top that,” said Pierson.
