To initiate the highly-awaited season of the LPGA Tour, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament Of Champions began on January 19. The event is set to go on till 22nd January and players are putting in all their skills and efforts to win the title. However, the prize money for the tournament is also a great motivator for the golfers. But how much is the total purse for the field?

The field for the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament Of Champions is full of talented players from all over the world. Played at one of the best golf courses in the world, Lake Nona Golf, and Country Club, the tournament breaks the two-month off-season of the LPGA Tour. To showcase her talent on the field, 2022 winner Danielle Kang is back on the field. The golfer finished at 68 and won the tournament with three shots ahead of World No. 7 Brooke Henderson.

However, Henderson is also back to claim her well-deserved victory on the title this year. Nonetheless, one of the biggest names on the field is World No.2, Nelly Korda. Recently after winning the Pelican Women’s Championship with an emotional speech following her victory, Korda is hoping to start this season with another win.

But to make it to the top, Korda will have to get across World No.10 Nasa Hataoka, who is in her best form to win her seventh LPGA Tour event. Moreover, Leona Maguire from Ireland is also set to play her best shots and prove to be of great worth on the field.

Total purse, winner’s share, and prize money for the tournament
Fans are excited to see their favorite players win the tournament and take home the title for the tournament. But another reason for the players to give their best is the huge prize money. The event is set to have a total purse of $1.5 million, while the winner will receive $225,000 as her share. Here is a breakdown of how much every player will receive after making the cut:

The tournament offers more than just the title and prize money to the players, especially the winner. The champion of the tournament will be rewarded with 500 points toward the season-long race to the CME Globe. The winner will also get a two-year exemption on the LPGA Tour along with reserved seats in upcoming tournaments.
