On Saturday 13th May, internet sensation turned boxer, KSI, scored a knockout victory against Joe Fournier at MF & DAZN: X Series in London and took home a grand prize of nearly $5 million. The 29-year-old made a splash in his fandom by clinching his second big achievement of the year, after trouncing FaZe Temper in January. With his incredible win, KSI earned a hoard full of praise from the spectators and his fans. One of them was British track and field athlete Mo Farah, who was also in attendance and made a wish to choose a career in combat sports.
British long-distance runner Sir Mo Farah is a prominent figure in the track and field arena. His 10 global championship gold medals and 2 Olympic gold medals make him one of the most successful male athletes in long-distance running. However, despite having a staunch record on tracks, the 40-year-old recently expressed his desire to try his luck in boxing, after witnessing KSI’s commendable knocks and punches.

Recently, co-founders of Misfit Boxing, Kalle Sauerland, and Nisse Sauerland shared a testimonial video of Farah through their Twitter handle. In the video, the long-distance runner praised KSI for his big win and talked about the controversial ending of the match. He stated, “For me, it was a good fight but then obviously stuff changed so quickly. I didn’t even know what happened, I looked over and that was it”. Expressing his desire to lace up the boxing gloves, he conceded, “I would need to do a bit of training and get confidence but I would love to challenge myself maybe one day”.
However, boxing isn’t the only field that piqued Farah’s interest. He also has a keen fascination for Formula 1 racing. Interestingly, once he recalled his impromptu conversation with F1 champion Lewis Hamilton and how he asked the Mercedes racer for the field tickets.
