Disney Cruise Line will be honoring Castaway Club members who have sailed with the cruise line 50 or more times with a new commemorative display on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in The Bahamas.

Disney Cruise Line is celebrating 25 years of cruising this summer with the Silver Anniversary at Sea. The Disney Magic had its maiden voyage on July 30, 1998, but guests first visited Castaway Cay in August of that year.
The new display will be near the Castaway Cay post office. As depicted in the above concept art, it will be a colorful fence featuring the names of families who have sailed with Disney Cruise Line 50+ times.
Eligible Castaway Club members will have the opportunity to select one of these four Disney Cruise Line icons to accompany their family’s name on the display.
Castaway Club
Anyone who has sailed with Disney Cruise Line before is considered a Castaway Club member. Silver is the first tier, with at least one sailing. Gold members have sailed 5 times, Platinum members have sailed 10 times, and Pearl members have sailed 25 times. So all Castaway Club members on the new display will be from the Pearl tier, which was just launched this year.
Pearl Castaway Club members can currently arrive at the terminal at any time for their Disney Cruise Line sailing instead of selecting a boarding time.
All Castaway Club members receive special gifts during return sailings. Castaway Club members on Silver Anniversary at Sea sailings also receive a print of Captain Mickey artwork by Joe Kaminski.
Silver Anniversary at Sea
Disney Cruise Line is celebrating 25 years of sailing with the Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration on select sailings from May through September 2023.
Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie are wearing new shimmering teal and white costumes for the anniversary celebration. The rest of their friends also have new costumes.
On one evening per Silver Anniversary voyage, guests are invited to the Shimmering Seas Soirée which includes free cocktails for a toast with the cruise director. Mickey, Minnie, and their friends also appear during this soirée for meet and greets. Check out our video of the soirée below.
The Silver Anniversary at Sea’s theme song is used during a special sail away pre-show and is now available to stream.
Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line ever to have a fireworks show at sea. A new 25th-anniversary fireworks display is performed on some Silver Anniversary at Sea itineraries. The limited-time show features iconic Disney music and the new signature song. The show is on most Bahamian, Caribbean, and Mediterranean sailings.
The Shimmering Seas Collection of merchandise includes a Loungefly mini backpack, Spirit Jersey, and more. Check out some of the 25th anniversary merchandise and the Silver Anniversary pin.
There are also plenty of Silver Anniversary-inspired food and beverage items. Souvenirs include a popcorn bucket, a tumbler, and a beer mug.
