A Chicago sports talk radio producer has been off the air since last Friday, one day after uttering, “I’ll have sex with your mother,” to a news radio rival.
Shane Riordan, a producer for the afternoon drive program “Parkins & Spiegel” on 670 The Score, is “believed to have been punished” by the station following the crass jab, according to The Chicago Sun-Times, which noted Riordan is “expected to return.”
The imbroglio began last week when FS1 host Colin Cowherd said he’d love to live in Chicago and co-host Jason McIntyre likened the city to Afghanistan, as violent crime has escalated since the pre-pandemic years.
“Keep Chicago out of your f–king mouth, @jasonrmcintyre,” Riordan tweeted last Wednesday. “You are both uninformed and disgusting.”
Riordan also tweeted, “I can’t get over this. Jason is such a piece of s–t.”

Dan Proft, a conservative Chicago talk show host on WIND 580 AM, then chided Riordan and The Score in a separate message.
As the back-and-forth between Riordan and Proft continued on Twitter, the spat eventually spilled over to the airwaves.
First, Proft went after Riordan and The Score on his show.
Then, “Parkins & Spiegel” played a clip from Proft’s show, to which Riordan subsequently ripped.

Though it appeared to be an ordinary radio beef, Riordan took the banter to a different level.
“Dan, I’ll have sex with your mother,” Riordan said as hosts Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel laughed aloud.
“Dan Proft, you bring your mother over here, and I’ll bone her.”
Proft tweeted in response to the segment that his mother is “dearly departed.”
In a statement to the Chicago Sun-Times, a spokesperson from Audacy, the parent company of 670 The Score, said, “We have no comment on last week’s incident at The Score.”
Riordan, who has not tweeted since Thursday, declined comment to the Chicago Sun-Times.
