Indian Cricket Team has dealt with a massive blow with the injury of Bumrah. The billion people would be worried as finding a like-for-like replacement on the 11th hour is a bit tough. Bumrah is someone who can take the batter by surprise as he has a lot of variations to deceive the batter quite easily.
T20 World Cup 2022 is going to be an enthralling one as in this edition the pacers and all-rounders would be more effective. It won’t be wrong to say that the dimensions of the field make hitting sixes a bit tough. Indian Cricket Team has planned to reach Australia earlier to get acclimatized to the conditions which is a good move.
Aakash Chopra on India Team Selection
Aakash Chopra was seen on his YouTube Channel and made a strong point. “India must add two fast bowlers to the squad for the World Cup. One should be someone who has speed and he is Mohammad Shami. The other bowler should be someone who has swing and he is Deepak Chahar. Take five fast bowlers, exclude one spinner, as the matches will be in Australia where pitches assist pace bowling rather than spin. You needn’t take any permission for changes to the squad till 15th October.” said Aakash Chopra.
Selection Conundrum for India
The Skipper Rohit Sharma & Head Coach Rahul Dravid will have to go once again back to the drawing board. The Men in Green need a pacer who can solve their death overs problem. Shami can be a great choice but according to some reports, the management is waiting for his fitness report.
In all this chaos, Siraj can make the cut as the right-arm pacer is quite disciplined in his line and length. There’s no doubt that Deepak Chahar has good control over but he proved expensive in the recently concluded South Africa T20I Series at the death. It would be interesting to see which pacer goes to Australia as all of them can be lethal on their day.
