A top foodie destination is in South Carolina, Food & Wine says

Expect to find several neighborhoods with great cuisine in this food-lover’s haven.
CHARLESTON, S.C. — A new poll shows that folks with money for gas and enough left over for a good meal won’t have to travel too far to chow down in one of America’s best food cities.
Food & Wine recently released its top 10 cities for neighborhood restaurants based on reader votes – and one South Carolina city is right in the middle of the list.
Charleston was named a not-so-surprising fifth-best city to chow down in the country. In addition to the comfort food that many a Southern city is known for, Food & Wine said Charleston stands out by having a variety of other food choices across many neighborhoods.
Among the neighborhoods listed – for everything from Vietnamese cuisine to biscuits, to seafood to fine dining – were Upper and Lower King Street, James Island, NoMo, and Cannonborough/Elliotborough.
The listing also gave recognition to areas that are a little further out like North Central and Johns Island.
Charleston ranked higher than Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Savannah, Portland, Oregon, and Seattle. The city only fell short of Chicago, San Francisco, New York, and New Orleans.
