Jude Bellingham has a made clear choice on his next destination with a trusted Sky Sports reporter naming the club the Borussia Dortmund midfielder intends to sign for this summer.
The England teenager is one of the most in-demand stars in the world game. Taking his qualities to new heights in the Bundesliga, Bellingham underlined his growth with some quality displays at the World Cup.
Indeed, having captained BVB this season on occasions, the sky really is the limit for the 19-year-old star.
And with 10 goals and five assists to his name this season for Dortmund, it is clear to see why demand is so high.
From the Bundesliga side’s point of view, they are likely to claim a record-breaking fee for his services. Indeed, reports are indicating that BVB will secure a figure as high as £120m once add-ons are factored in.
Competition for his services, however, will be high.
Liverpool lead the way with Jurgen Klopp a confirmed admirer and in need of quality midfield additions. But Manchester City and Real Madrid are also in the race and likely to battle Liverpool all the way.
TEAMtalk, however, were able to exclusively reveal that one major suitor had been ruled out the equation by Bellingham.
As such, Liverpool do appear to be in the driving seat. And their hopes grew recent when a BILD TV presenter revealed her belief that Bellingham was bound for Anfield.
Now talk of a summer move to Liverpool has gained even more traction after a sizeable update from Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
Bringing the latest on what he has heard about the player, Solhekol is convinced Liverpool have the funds to sign him.
Jude Bellingham transfer to Liverpool is most likely outcome this summer
Furthermore, he also reckons Bellingham favours the Reds over both Real and City at this stage of his career.
“From a career point of view, a move to Real Madrid might make sense to him later in his career. It’s not a move that he has to make now,” he told Sky Sports’ Transfer Show. “And from a football point of view, I think Liverpool is the perfect move for him in the summer.
“Also, people I have spoken to, I’ve asked if Liverpool would be able to compete if they got into a bidding war with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid. People are assuming that Manchester City and Real Madrid would be able to pay more than Liverpool. But I don’t think that is the case.
“Because actually, if you look at Manchester City in recent times, plenty of occasions they have walked away from deals when they have felt the valuation has been wrong.
“And as far as Real Madrid are concerned, I don’t think they have more money than Liverpool to spend in the transfer market. So I agree with Florian [Plettenberg, of Sky Deutschland].
“Everything we are hearing at the moment – and of course it could change – but it feels like Liverpool are his most likely destination in the summer.”
With Liverpool ready to go all out for Bellingham and with the player seemingly keen, the Reds do appear favourites to sign the star.
Indeed, he is unlikely to be the only midfielder they land this summer with Paul Joyce also suggesting Matheus Nunes is a target.
With Liverpool unlikely to make any more additions this month, it promises to be a summer of huge arrivals at Anfield.
