Zach Wilson enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend in Utah with his girlfriend as he prepares for the competition to be the Broncos starting quarterback.
Wilson is competing with Jarrett Stidham and Bo Nix, the Broncos’ No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, after the Jets traded him to Denver last month.
Wilson and Nicolette Dellanno, a model and influencer, spent time at Lake Powell with friends, as seen in photos she posted to her Instagram page.

“Weekend away,” Dellanno, a New Jersey native, wrote in her caption.
Wilson — a Brigham Young product and the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft — is from Draper, which is about a 10-hour drive from Lake Powell.
The couple was all smiles while posing together on a boat, and they took in the scenery during a stroll through the reservoir on the Colorado River.

Prior to Wilson being released by the Jets, the pair enjoyed a trip to Wilson’s native Utah, as well as a tropical vacation in Bora Bora.
Wilson and Dellanno, who are fairly private about their relationship, were first linked in June 2022 when they were photographed at a Yankees game together.
They seem to be navigating long distance well.
Wilson, 24, expressed optimism about his reset in Denver at OTAs last week.
“I’m excited to be here, beautiful place, awesome staff, I’m really enjoying it,” he said, adding that he’s embracing the quarterback competition.

“Personally, I think competition brings out the best everybody. I look forward to what we have. I appreciate the ownership … just for the opportunity to be here to compete, I think it brings out the best in everybody.”
Although the transition has been “bittersweet,” Wilson is excited “to attack the new challenge.”
Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that he’s impressed by his remade quarterback room after the Broncos released Russell Wilson after two losing seasons.

“I like his experience,” Payton said last week. “You can tell he’s played, and I feel like he has very live arm strength. He’s picking up the offense pretty quickly.”
The Super Bowl-winning coach added that 24-year-old Nix is “farther along than most” rookies.
“We’re talking about a player who has played 61 games. He’s extremely smart. He’s picked it up very quickly,” he said of the Auburn and Oregon product.
Wilson was traded after the Jets finished at the bottom of the AFC East with a 7-10 record.
He took over for Aaron Rodgers after the four-time league MVP suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the season opener against the Bills on Sept. 11.
The Broncos open the season against the Seahawks in Seattle on Sept. 8.
