Lakers-Raptors pick
The Los Angeles Lakers make their first and only trip north of the border on Tuesday for a matchup against the Toronto Raptors.
BetMGM Sportsbook favors the Lakers by 12.5 points and I think that’s fair given how bad Toronto is playing.
The Raptors may not have the worst record in the NBA, but they are currently playing like the worst team. Their 13-game losing skid is the longest in the league, and they regularly lose to winning teams by double digits in that stretch.
Gary Trent Jr. has been their best scorer in recent games, but he’ll be out Tuesday, leaving Toronto with RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and Kelly Olynyk as its go-to players, which probably isn’t enough.
Los Angeles also has some potential lineup absences with LeBron James and Anthony Davis both being listed as questionable.
Still, I trust the Lakers’ secondary players of D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura to lead the way and it’s certainly possible that at least one of LeBron or AD suits up.
