Bears to Packers, Cardinals to Cubs, Bulls to Pistons — Pro Image Sports has it all. And just in time for the holidays.
As of last week, the one-stop shop for sports merchandise was open at 120 Water St. in downtown Naperville.

It’s a fan’s dream, really.
Be it baseball, football, hockey, or basketball — professional or collegiate — Pro Image Sports is the ESPN of gear.

“We have a little bit of everything for everyone,” owner Mike Wierzbinski said Friday.
Wierzbinski runs the shop with his wife, Lauren. All the items in their Water Street storefront are handpicked, Wierzbinski said, by himself, his wife or their three young sons, who inspired the venture to begin with.
“It really started when our sons started to play sports about a year ago,” he said. “When that happened, they started wanting gear from their favorite teams and players. … We were ordering online, but sometimes stuff didn’t end up fitting or the quality wasn’t what we thought it’d be.”
And there wasn’t a place nearby for the family, living just north of downtown Naperville, where they could try out merchandise in person.
“We felt like there was an opportunity to fill that void,” Wierzbinski said.
Hooked on the idea, he got to researching and came across Pro Image Sports. A national franchise, Pro Image has more than 160 locations across the country. But what interested Wierzbinski the most was that Pro Image franchises are all 100% individually owned and operated.
The model allows Wierzbinski and his family to choose what gear they want to sell while still having access to officially licensed sports apparel.
“We wouldn’t be able to sell any of this if we were just a small mom and pop shop,” Wierzbinski said. “With (Pro Image), we have access to all the licensed gear but we still get to pick everything out.”

Sport type and team loyalty aside, the merchandise itself is just as varied. There’s your standard jerseys and caps, but also anything from key chains to water bottles.
“Everyone is shocked at the amount of stuff that we have,” Wierzbinski said.
Pro Image Sports is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
