As all airline credit cards, it helps you earn loyalty miles without flying, which can then be used for flights and upgrades. In addition to its $0 annual fee, rewards and benefits of the American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp Card include:
25% savings on in-flight food and beverage purchases on American Airlines flights when you use your card
2x AAdvantage miles for every $1 spent at grocery stores
1x AAdvantage miles for every $1 spent on other purchases
A welcome bonus of 15,000 miles after $500 in purchases within the first three months of account opening
It is worth noting that while free of charge, the card lacks rewards compared to those that do charge annual fees. One of the drawbacks of this card is its foreign transaction fee of 3%. Below find a Simple Flying guide to American Airlines credit card options.
