Sometimes harsh words help.
It’s no secret that Tom Cruise (60) is tough. He doesn’t allow double jumps from a plane, and instead the “Mission: Impossible” star prefers to unload his parachute or climb the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower in Dubai.
But not all fellow actors are as strong as the 60-year-old. For example, Emily Blunt (39). And tears fell on the set of the blockbuster “Edge of Tomorrow”. And this, apparently, colleague Tom was not able to handle at all. The 39-year-old revealed it on his “Smartless” podcast.

The reason for the emotional outburst in the group: heavy clothing. “We had to wear these giant suits, which I think would have been amazing if they were CGI. But we actually had to wear them,” reveals Emily.
Fun Fact: Actors wear CGI costumes in films that require visual effects. They are skintight overalls with lots of little landmarks. These dots reflect infrared light, which is sent to and received by a special camera system. Thus, even the smallest Hollywood stars become huge fictional characters on the screen.

Unfortunately, Emily wore the “real costume” on set: “There was nothing comfortable about those clothes. They must have weighed 85 pounds, it was that heavy. I cried the first time I wore it”. costume caused injuries to his collarbones and ribs.
A stunt double had to take over because the suit was too heavy for a woman. Lose

And colleague Tom Cruise? He didn’t quite know how to handle the situation and the tears. “He just stared at Me and then said, ‘I know, I know.’” I said, “Tom, I’m not sure how I’m going to shoot.”
Then the 60-year-old preferred to take the hard way out and succinctly said: “Come on, stop being so cowardly, ok?” Then Emily laughed bravely at the situation and passed the scene.

And the tears were worth it. The film grossed a staggering $370 million (€350 million), more than double its production cost.
By the way, despite wild speculation, there will be no second part of “Edge of Tomorrow”. The reason: a legal dispute between production companies Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow.
