Motorists should be aware of several ongoing road projects that could impact travel in Plano.
Below is a listing of many of them. This list is not all-inclusive and does not include projects whose estimated completion date has passed.
The projects include:
West 14th Street
Shiloh Road & 14th Street Intersection — The outside westbound lane will be closed east and west of Shiloh Road for utility and pavement improvements. The estimated completion date is March 31.
17th Street
P Avenue to Jupiter Road — Eastbound 17th Street from P Avenue to Jupiter Road will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pavement replacement. The estimated completion date is June 27.
Alma Drive
Lexington Drive to Parker Road — The inside and center lanes of northbound Alma Drive will be closed for waterline repairs. The estimated completion date is Feb. 15.
Hedgcoxe Road
Independence Parkway to Custer Road — The outside lane of Eastbound Hedgcoxe Road between Independence Parkway and Custer Road will be closed for pavement repairs. Additional lanes might be closed between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The estimated completion date is Dec. 10.
Jupiter Road
Plano Parkway to President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) —The middle lane of northbound Jupiter Road between Plano Parkway and PGBT will be closed for pavement repair. Additional lanes might be closed between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The estimated completion date is Dec. 16.
Parker Road
East city limit to Spring Creek Parkway — One lane east and westbound will be closed 24/7. One additional lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., as needed, for repairs. The estimated completion date is Dec. 15.
Marsh Lane to Midway Road — The right lane of westbound Parker Road between Marsh Lane and Midway Road will be closed for pavement repair. Additional lanes might be closed between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The estimated completion date is Dec. 9.
Plano Parkway
Coit Road to Commerce Drive — The outside lane of westbound Plano Parkway will be closed for paving repairs. The estimated completion date is March 30.
14th Street to Los Rios Boulevard — Various lanes eastbound and westbound Plano Parkway will be closed for pavement repair. Additional lanes might be closed between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The estimated completion date is Dec. 9.
Ohio Drive to Burnham Drive — The outside westbound lane of Plano Parkway will be closed from east of Ohio Drive to Burnham Drive for screening wall replacement. The estimated completion date is March 30.
Shiloh Road and 14th Street Intersection
The outside northbound lane will be closed north and south of 14th Street. for utility and pavement improvements. The estimated completion date is March 31.
K Ave to U.S. 75 — The outside westbound lane will be closed for lane widening, with additional weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. closure of the center westbound lane. The estimated completion date is Dec. 21.
