Due to wintry weather, South Carolina Gamecocks will now take on the Tigers on Friday
COLUMBIA, S.C. — In yet another example of how this latest winter storm is affecting all walks of life, the women’s basketball game featuring No. 2 South Carolina versus No. 5 LSU has been moved from Thursday to Friday at Columbia’s Colonial Life Arena.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had a record seven inches of snow fall on Tuesday, January 21, causing travel issues for the Tigers.
Columbia saw about two inches of snow during the same time period and roads made impassable by black ice.
Although the game will be broadcast on ESPN, the scheduled GameDay program will no longer be part of the broadcast.
All tickets to Thursday’s scheduled game will be honored on Friday. Doors at Colonial Life Arena will open at 4 p.m. with the game beginning at 5 p.m.
