Actor and comedian comments on Brittney Griner release
Brittney Griner fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. She was arrested in February and sentenced to nine years in prison. To make her sentence all the more difficult, she was placed in one of the most dreaded penal colonies in the world.
Thankfully, she will not have to spend nine tough years in the IK-2 penal colony. Officials have agreed on a prisoner swap deal that will send Griner back to the United States of America.
With various celebrities around the world talking about Griner, comedian and actor Michael Blackson also chimed in on the Phoenix Mercury superstar.
He wrote under a selfie with Griner, “Next time I travel outside of America I won’t even take a piece of candy because of all that diabetes they put in it might be illegal in other countries.”
Interestingly enough, Blackson had made a joke about Griner a few months ago. This wasn’t taken well by fans who ridiculed Blackson for joking about the sensitive situation. He then replied by saying he wouldn’t change the way he jokes.
