Antonio Brown is back in the spotlight. The former wide receiver was recently caught up in yet another controversy surrounding rapper Kanye ‘Ye’ West.

The rapper has sparked controversy because of the anti-Semitic comments he made. West was globally criticized for his remarks. Brands and collaborators across the board began withdrawing their partnerships. However, in an interview, Brown made his stance clear about his opinion of the rapper and his comments.

Antonio Brown stays loyal to Ye
AB has stuck by West, showing unwavering loyalty despite public backlash. The former wide receiver put out an extensive statement that explained his decision to remain with West’s Donda Sports. Brown is president of Donda Sports. He joined West’s creative company early this year. The statement was released soon after big names like Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald left Donda sports. Another athlete to end their partnership with Donda sports is NBA star, Jaylen Brown.
With major brands like Gap, Balenciaga and Adidas ending their collaborations with West, Brown released a statement that cemented his stance on the matter.

An excerpt from his statements, “I remain true to the mission of Donda and our amazing staff and community. I remain dedicated to helping clarify statements taken out of proportion by the media, I remain committed to bringing new ideas, experiences and designs to our world, I remain in support of the humanity that is Ye”
Brown also mentioned that he has reflected on his statements along with other members of his circle that lacked clarity in explanation.

Brown is notoriously known for his antics on and off the field. The NFL’s resident pot-stirrer recently received backlash from the NFL world for the shots he took at seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

Tom Brady’s recent marital trouble and eventual divorce from model Gisele Bündchen were in the spotlight for a while. AB took shots at his former teammate by printing and selling t-shirts with his and Gisele’s picture printed on them.

To make matters even worse, he stated that the proceeds from the sales would go to America’s fatherless children. Brown has also been making the news for various other misdemeanors, alongside violent outbursts in the recent past. The frequency of what can no longer be called antics is a worrisome issue for the NFL world.
