Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his fiancée, Christen Harper, are a dating app success story, according to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model.
In a teaser trailer for the YouTube series “Women of the League,” premiering Tuesday, Harper shared how the couple first met, while the quarterback was with the Rams and she was working and living in LA.
“We met on a dating app,” Harper said. “We are a dating app success story. I wasn’t really looking for anything at the time and I was just kind of being single and having fun.
“I met him through the dating app and he was very persistent trying to take me out on a date and he kept trying and trying — and finally it was like a Thursday night and I was like, ‘Ok, I have nothing else to do, I might as well go out on a date.’”
Harper admitted that she was hooked on Goff as soon as the pair met.
“Literally, he picked me up and I was like ‘oh shoot, dang it, he got me,’” she said. “From that moment on, we just talked every day since then. Now it’s been almost four years.”

Goff proposed in June after three years of dating, around the same time the couple celebrated Harper’s birthday at El Dorado Golf and Beach Club in Mexico.
“I’m the luckiest guy in the world because I get to spend forever with you. I love you @christenharper,” Goff gushed on Instagram at the time.
Harper also posted a video from the proposal, writing on Instagram that she “can’t wait for forever with [Goff].”

The couple relocated from LA to Detroit after the Rams traded Goff for Matthew Stafford in March 2021. Harper has expressed her affinity for living in Detroit, saying that she loves the “change of pace.”
