First Look at Disney Treasure Coming on August 30

Disney Parks Blog will air a first-look video at the Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, on Wednesday, August 30.
Disney Treasure First Look
“Unlocking the Disney Treasure: Adventure Awaits Onboard Disney’s Newest Ship” will premiere on the Disney Parks Blog on Wednesday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. ET.
The video “will debut never-before-released details about the Disney Treasure, showcasing the world-class dining, immersive family entertainment and unique spaces coming to the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.”
The Disney Treasure’s design is inspired by Walt Disney’s love of exploration and will feature the theme of adventure. Disney launched a ship’s log page to track the construction of the Disney Treasure. The bridge block was installed in late June. The aft section was headed to Papenburg, Germany in late July.
Unbelievable awaits! Tune in to a virtual grand reveal event August 30 at 11 a.m. EST for a special look at what’s on board the all-new Disney Treasure.

Disney Cruise Line released a video (above) highlighting different locations on a map. The locations seem to be the fictional Agrabah, as well as Mexico and South America, perhaps teasing what Disney IPs will be featured on the ship. We already know “Aladdin” is an influence on the Grand Hall (atrium), which is inspired by the grandeur and mystery of a gilded palace. It draws on real-world influences from Asia and Africa and pays homage to the far-off land of Agrabah. The golden Grand Hall statue features Aladdin and Jasmine riding Magic Carpet.
Mexico could refer to the rumored “Coco” dinner show. South America could be a reference to “Up,” “Encanto,” or Jungle Cruise. The dot seems to land in Brazil, but that may not be indicative of the IP.
The video is narrated by a new character, Arthur Quinn, who states his family has explored far-off lands in search of magical realms for years. The character could be connected to the Society of Explorers and Adventurers.
Peter Pan and Captain Hook figures will be on the ship’s stern.
Captain Minnie debuted a new “Voyager” outfit for the Disney Treasure. Voyager Minnie is featured on the keel coin, which was lain in March. The keel coins ceremony is typically used to mark the official start of construction on a ship and bring good fortune. Voyager Minnie will also be on the Disney Treasure’s bow.
It’s rumored the Disney Treasure will include a Haunted Mansion bar and lounge. This may be confirmed in “Unlocking the Disney Treasure.”
The ship is scheduled to set sail in 2024. What are you hoping to see on the ship? Let us know in the comments.
