A life dedicated to culture and its children: farewell to Professor Corai

PORDENONE – A lover of literature, history, painting, travel, but above all of young people with their liveliness and fragility, a professor of those who do not stop to explain only a sonnet by Petrarch or a novel by Svevo, but represent fundamental principles for the growth of young people, teaching them the values ​​that go beyond the pages of books. This was Paolo Corai, of the ancient family of rope makers from Pordenone who had the factory in via Dogana Vecchia. He passed away yesterday, November 3 in Casa Serena a 74 years oldfollowing a bone melanoma he was born in covid, who struck the last blow.
Leave beautiful memories to sisters Sandra and Franca, to the many friends and former colleagues of both the Leopardi-Majorana high school and the Isis Zanussi, but above all to them, to the young people, today with a few more years who jealously preserve their precepts. “He has always been an enthusiastic person – this is how his sister Franca Corai remembers him, who works with Sandra in the historic Corai yarn shop in Viale Marconi – he taught how to live, his culture was vast, curious to know, he loved to travel, together again minors we went to London, many trips followed. He went to the theater and listened to classical music. You lived for school and culture ».
