EA launched UFC 5, a long-awaited game in its series. Fans were given a detailed look at what this next title has in store in a four-and-a-half-minute video.
An authentic MMA experience
The beautiful graphics of EA Sports UFC 5 are one of the key elements of the game, thanks to the powerful Frostbite engine. This engine is renowned for producing high-quality images and it does not disappoint here. Realistic character detail, dynamic lighting, hair, and clothing animations bring the Octagon to life like never before.
EA Sports UFC 5 aims to capture the spirit of MMA fighting. The game pledges real damage, real looks, and better gameplay. It’s about making you feel in the MMA world.
EA Sports UFC 5 is built on innovation. The game features an online career mode with skill-based match-ups, division progression, and four title chases. Players can face off against custom-made fighters that they can personalize using a range of vanity items.
EA Sports UFC 5 includes the Real Impact System, a game-changing feature for displaying damage. Cuts, bruises, and swelling accumulate based on the amount of damage inflicted and sustained during a fight, with approximately 64,000 combinations of facial damage that realistically affect character traits. This means your fighter will feel every punch and kick.
UFC 5 improved gameplay
Players can expect additional attacks, hit reactions, smoother submissions with faster animations, and an expanded grappling system. The game also includes a Fight Week mode that connects players to real UFC events and provides a variety of challenges and material.
Progression and rewards are important aspects of the game. Players earn in-game cash, make changes to player profiles, collect vanity goods, and even unlock “alter egos” while they play. Completing profile tasks also earns players XP, allowing them to level up and increase the earning power of their punch card.
Players can relive their final blows in dramatic KO replays thanks to Frostbite technology. These slow-motion replays, filmed with dramatic camera angles and lighting, add to the realism and beauty of the game.
The game features improved visual effects, including realistic face and body blows, fluid mechanics and particle systems that simulate blood and sweat, enhancing the overall Octagon experience. There are also new ways to end fights, such as draws in offline and online play, and updated refereeing.
Release details
EA Sports UFC 5 Standard Edition will be available on 27 October for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 for €69.99. The Deluxe Edition and a 10-hour EA Play trial will be available three days earlier on 24 August.
EA Sports UFC 5 plans to change MMA gaming with a top experience in MMA. It focuses on realism, better looks, and fresh gameplay. It could be a big deal for MMA and gaming lovers.
