The buying and selling of Horses is a major event in Equestrian Sports. Every year, the number of sales rises, and this month saw a great jump. The sales are held in seasons involving different sessions. In September, the Keeneland Equestrian sales outnumbered previous records.

It was shocking to see the increasing number of sellers throughout the season. The figures would surprise you. It was more than $1 million. According to the latest updates, on September 11 highest bidding amount for the Equines broke all the previous records. The excitement among selling parties was embarking upon a high level.
The sale of Into Mischief’s Filly Hip 92

Shadwell Racing signed the sales agreement. Princess Sheikha Hissa, daughter of late Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum signed the sales pact for＄2.3 million for Into Mischief’s filly. This filly is assigned by Gaineway Farm as Hip 92. She topped among the horses. She is the half-sibling of this year’s Summertime Oaks (G2) winner, Window Shopping.
Oussama Alboughazale’s International Equity Holding took up the responsibility of Filly Hip 92 breed. She was bred in the lands of Kentucky and belongs to the family of Graeme. Shadwell Racing team selected her among many horses. The sire Into Mischief stands at the top position in Northern Hemisphere Rankings at National Kentucky by completing 407 Rnrs and 167 Wnrs. In 2022 also, he had the number of 473 Rnrs and 235 Wnrs. He is from Spendthrift Farm.
Keeneland President and CEO Shannon Arvin welcomed Princess Hissa. He said, “Shadwell Racing is about to embark on an exciting new stage of Shadwell, and we love her passion and enthusiasm for sport and the horse. It’s an honor to have her here”. Gainesway is one of the most productive lands. 12 horses were sold out of its 15-horse draft in three sessions. Brain Graves of Gainesway was very much excited after this huge sale. He commented, “We have had an outstanding day; we’ve sold some top lots for some outstanding clients that had a lot of capital tied up”.

The three sires who were on the top list were Into Mischief, Uncle Mo, and Authentic respectively. They all together included 11 horses from the first session. Out of the eleven, six horses belonged to Sire Into Mischief, 5 to Uncle Mo, and one to Authentic.
Sellers witnessed the diversity among the buyers. Robert Clay of Grandview Equine was among the buyers. He signed the ticket on Hip 18. He was mesmerized by the big energy in the sales pavilion. West Bloodstock had 11 purchases as the agent of gross $3,720,000. He was the leading buyer on Day 1.

Last year was also record-breaking. This year too broke all the past records. Selling from Book 1 continues today, 12 Sept. at 1 PM. The increasing number of buyers and sellers indicates the flourishing Equestrian community. The Equestrian enthusiasts are actively participating.
