The Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl for nearly three decades. But the franchise is still one of the biggest in the NFL. Jerry Jones, the owner of the franchise, holds a $11 billion value in the market. Jones has hit the jackpot in a prestigious Forbes list.
The Cowboys crashed out of the Super Bowl yet again after a disappointing loss to the San Francisco 49ers. So, the current Forbes list will give a glimmer of happiness to Jones amid the Super Bowl drought.

The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made it to the top three in the Forbes Most Valuable Sports Empires 2023 list. The Jerry Jones Group, which owns the Cowboys franchise, is valued at $11.32 billion. It is the third biggest sports empire in the world. The only two ahead are Liberty Media and the Los Angeles Rams owner Kroenke’s Sports and Entertainment.
Jones was at the fourth spot last year with a value of $8.85 billion. Jones bought the Cowboys back in 1989 for $140 million. He led the franchise to three Super Bowl championships as the owner and general manager. And though they haven’t won the Vince Lombardi since 1996, the Cowboys are always a force to reckon with. Along with the Cowboys, Jones also co-owns the Legends Hospitality with the Yankee Global Enterprises, the seventh on the list.
This will come as a glimmer of happiness after yet another season without silverware. The Cowboys crashed out of the divisional round of the playoffs with an agonizing loss to the Niners.
The wait grows longer

The Cowboys fans believed it was their year. And the team came within a touching distance of their goal. But everything fell apart on that night at the Levi’s Stadium. Dak Prescott and his offense could not find the key to the best defense in the NFL.
The Cowboys defense played their part and kept Brock Purdy relatively silent. The Niners QB did not score a single touchdown in the game. And Prescott did throw one touchdown pass. But he also threw two picks. And the Niners run offense did the rest. The home team got the better of the Cowboys 19-12 and made their way to the NFC championship game. And the Cowboys’ wait grew another year longer.
