It was a fiesta in Mexico City as Formula 1 returned to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. In what was a repeat of last year’s podium finishes, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won his record-breaking 14th win of the season. It was not the ideal weekend for Sergio Perez. Despite finishing 3rd in the race, Perez would have loved to climb the top spot at home in front of his home crowd. The Mexican has previously shared his lifelong dream of winning the Mexican GP. However, before the race, Perez met with the famous American Tik Toker, Daniel Mac.
The American sensation has amassed over 12M followers on TikTok. Mac met Perez in the Red Bull garage and asked his trademark question, “What do you do for a living” in Spanish. However, his Spanish game was not as elegant as his video recording skills.

Perez was seemingly confused with the question. However, Mac explained how he only learned Spanish for a year in school. Perez then replied, “I’m the Mexican minister of defense”.
Sergio Perez is currently second in the driver’s standings. He leads Charles Leclerc by 5 points and will be looking to seal the second spot and claim a Red Bull 1-2.
F1 Twitter reacts to Max Verstappen calling his Red Bull teammate a lookalike of Tom Cruise
The events before the Mexican GP took an interesting turn in the Red Bull camp. Reigning world champion Max Verstappen complimented Sergio Perez and gave a bold opinion about the Mexican superstar. Verstappen called Perez “better looking” than Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise.
F1 fans on Twitter reacted to Verstappen’s comments and shared their opinions. Moreover, fans also labeled Sergio Perez as the ‘Mexican Tom Cruise’.
Additionally, fans could not believe Verstappen’s statement on Checo.
