Red Bull towards an agreement with the FIA

The Austrian team would be inclined to accept fines and development restrictions in order not to incur sports penalties
A agreement between the FIA and the Red Bull F1 team regarding the alleged overrun of the budget cap of the season 2021. According to Bbc the Austrian team would be inclined to accept economic sanctions and limitations on the development of single-seaters in 2023 to avoid bringing the question before the Cost Cap Adjudication Panelwhere he would also risk incurring sporting penalties which could, theoretically, cause him to lose the world title won by Max Verstappen last season, with just 8 points clear of Lewis Hamilton.
A kind of “plea bargain“, therefore, to limit the damage to the team and save the federation itself inconvenient precedent of a world championship reassigned to the tablemoreover a year after the last GP raced.
There are no details on the proposed agreement yet, but in all likelihood it will include a series of limitation to 2023 tests (both those on the track, both virtual ones and in the wind tunnel) and a further lowering of the budget cap for next yearwhich would make the investment margins even tighter.
