Disney Cruise Line has announced more details, including a new fireworks show, for their “Silver Anniversary at Sea,” which will be celebrated from May to September 2023.
“Silver Anniversary at Sea” celebrates the 25th anniversary of Disney Cruise Line, which launched with the Disney Magic in 1998.
Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line ever to have a fireworks show at sea. A new fireworks display will premiere on select “Silver Anniversary at Sea” itineraries. The limited-time show will feature iconic Disney music and a new signature song.
The 25th-anniversary fireworks show will be on most Bahamian, Caribbean, and Mediterranean sailings this summer.
Guests will be invited to join the ship’s captain and cruise director on one evening of each cruise for a special anniversary toast. They will be joined by Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie in their new “Silver Anniversary at Sea” outfits and the toast will feature the anniversary’s new theme song.

Guests who have sailed with Disney Cruise Line before are part of the Castaway Club. Members who sail during the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” will receive a limited edition 11×14 framed Captain Mickey art print in their stateroom. The artwork (above) is by Disney artist Joe Kaminski.
