Oklahoma State vs. Cincinnati pick
The 16-9 Cincinnati Bearcats are squarely a bubble team at this point in the season, but they can improve their resume tonight with a win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Cincinnati is favored by 10.5 points on BetMGM Sportsbook. While that is a pretty large spread for a bubble team, it’s fair to expect the Bearcats to handle an OSU team that is winless on the road.
Somebody has to be the worst team in the loaded Big 12, and Oklahoma State’s 3-9 conference record is good for last place. The Cowboys are 0-6 in Big 12 road games with four double-digit losses mixed in, and even lost to Southern Illinois on the road in non-conference play. With just two players averaging double figures, OSU has a small margin for error each game.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati has settled into the middle of the pack in the conference. Day Day Thomas and Dan Skillings Jr. are both competent guards while Viktor Lakhin, Simas Lukosius, and Aziz Bandaogo headline a strong front court that is ninth in the country in rebounding. After close home losses to Houston and Iowa State earlier this month, this is a prime opportunity for the Bearcats to bolster their NCAA Tournament chances.
