Donald Trump Jr. will travel to Wisconsin this week to serve as a surrogate for his father at the first Republican presidential primary debate.
“We’re excited to see all of our friends in Milwaukee who want to Make America Great Again!!!” Trump Jr. posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Former President Trump’s campaign confirmed Trump Jr. would be in Milwaukee as a surrogate. It marks one of the first times the former president’s son has appeared out on the campaign trail in support of his father’s reelection bid.
The Daily Caller first reported that Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was an adviser to the Trump 2020 campaign, would attend Wednesday night’s debate to do media appearances and promote their shows on Rumble.

The former president wrote Sunday on Truth Social that he would not participate in the Republican “debates,” leaving open the possibility that he may skip future debates in addition to Wednesday night’s event.
Trump instead is expected to sit down for a pre-taped interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie have all qualified for the debate stage. Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) announced Sunday he had also qualified.
