On Monday Baseus released its new PowerCombo 6-in-1 Charging Station, a desktop power-strip tower featuring a retractable USB-C cable.
In addition to the cable, the device includes three electrical outlets for computers, monitors and other electronics, plus a 65-watt USB-C port and a 60W USB-A port for charging devices like iPads, iPhones and AirPods.

Baseus PowerCombo 6-in-1 Charging Station
As mentioned above, the PowerCombo station offers six ways to power a range of devices. With a maximum load is 1625W, it’s a hybrid charger, power strip and charging cable in one that can help keep your desktop tidy, Baseus said.
“What sets it apart is that a handy 2.6ft retractable USB C cable is built-in,” the company said. “That [makes] charging any USB-C devices a breeze by simply reaching the cable and pulling it to the appropriate length to keep your desk free of clutter and to save the effort of looking around for a charging cable. The idea behind this product is to streamline your production space.”
App control
Baseus also touted its iOS app as a way the product stands out from traditional power strips. You can turn it off with a tap or use a shutdown timer to shut it down automatically whenever you want.
In addition, the app shows power-consumption records so you can see how much power your devices are using.
Safety protections
Baseus said the charging station features 8 safety protections.
The tower stands out with 1200-joule surge protection, above the industry standard between 800J to 1000J, according to the company.
The device features BDIP Baseus Digital Intelligent Power, which monitors circuit status to detect overload, overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit and more. It cuts off power in 0.1 seconds if necessary.
The case is made of fire-retardant material and the device relies on GaN technology for high power conversion and low heat generation,
