After we first reported it in January 2024, it appears that the refurbishment of the dock at Jungle Cruise in Magic Kingdom is now complete.
Construction Walls Down in Jungle Cruise Queue
While visiting Magic Kingdom this week, we spotted that the short walls previously present in the Jungle Cruise queue have been taken down.
Construction walls previously stood where stanchions are in the queue on the right of this image, and wrapped around that corner into the queue behind the Alberta Falls mural.
Short brown construction walls were previously present to the left of the image above, behind where guests would unload from the boats. All brown tarps have been removed from the floors, showing off warmer wood tones than before.
This area of the queue is normally used for wheelchair entry. Jungle Cruise offers a wheelchair-accessible boat, or guests can choose to transfer from their wheelchair or scooter into a seat on the ride.
The above image is what this portion of the queue looked like during refurbishment.
The original Jungle Cruise was an opening day attraction at Disneyland Park on July 17, 1955. It was originally more of an educational boat ride, similar to Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but eventually grew into the pun-filled excursion that guests know and love today.
Jungle Cruise was also an opening day ride at Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971; Tokyo Disneyland on April 15, 1983, and Hong Kong Disneyland on September 12, 2005.
