Even though it’s still a few days away, Dwyane Wade‘s teenage daughter has begun her birthday celebrations in style. The 16-year-old is juggling a hectic schedule with her work and studies. Just a few weeks ago, she was accompanied by her father and stepmother, Gabrielle Union, on a college hunt. The parents seemed worried about sending their daughter away. However, before Zaya begins her new college life, it was only right to throw a birthday bash at home with close friends while her parents were away.
This small gathering also had many fun options from super cool neon-colored glasses to wristbands and so much more. The party also featured a special drink menu that included a drink named after the birthday girl.
It was named ‘Sweet Zaya’. Zaya’s brother Zaire made a hilarious warning on the post and wrote, “That just better be juice….” The model shared numerous snaps from her birthday bash on her Instagram. The post is captioned, “the birthday party vibes were 10/10.” She’ll celebrate her birthday on Wednesday, May 29th.

Thrilled to see her stepdaughter having fun with her friends, Gabrielle shared the post on her Instagram Stories. Previously, during her interview with ET’s Rachel Smith, Union admitted feeling tense about sending her stepdaughter away for college. “We’re stressed out. We’re stressed out about her being away from us… [Parents all have the] same nerves and anxieties about sending your babies away. It’s tough,” Union said. While the 16-year-old is enjoying herself to the fullest, her father is also fulfilling his duties as the owner of the Chicago Sky.

Gabrielle Union took to her X handle to share that the Wade squad would be arriving just in time to support the team. “We will be on time and seated. Let’s goooooo,” Union wrote on X. True to her word, the Wade couple, along with their daughter Kaavia, arrived at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago to witness the matchup between Sky and Connecticut Sun.
The Miami Heat legend is certainly keeping his promise to be actively involved in promoting and working with the team. His efforts are definitely winning over the fans. This time, Wade’s mother, Jolinda Wade, also joined the three. Snaps of Kaavia holding a basketball and the Wade family seated courtside are continuously making rounds on the internet.
The 3x NBA champion also shared the post on his Instagram and wrote, “Hardly home but always repping #SkyTown #DeWayneWade.” We are yet to witness Zaya’s actual birthday party which should be on May 29. Maybe we will get that as soon as the Wade Family gets back home.
