More Walls, Scrim, and Thematic Posters Added Outside of Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise

On our visit to Disneyland today, February 19, we noticed new walls, scrim, and thematic posters installed outside of the Jungle Cruise. The ride closed a few days ago for refurbishment.

Tall, jagged-edge wood walls surround the entire ride entrance and facade. Behind the walls, beige scrim attached to scaffolding extends even farther up. New Jungle Cruise thematic posters have also been added to the wood walls to decorate the surface.
Over by a construction entrance door, several posters depict boats sailing on the various rivers in the ride and encourage guests to set sail on their own voyage. One poster with an explorer on the front notes that the Jungle Cruise is “out of service” and will be “resuming daily river service this spring.” The ride still does not have a reopening date on Disneyland’s website.
The wood walls and scrim continue down the walkway, along with more thematic posters. These posters show black-and-white and colored concept art of the ride. There are also wood signs saying, “Discover uncharted territories!” and “Observe jungle wildlife!”
Rounding the corner to the ride entrance, the wood walls block guests from entering the queue. There is another construction entrance door for crew members to use. The same explorer poster previously shown informs guests that the Jungle Cruise is temporarily out of service.
There are also two Jungle Cruise ride posters, one from 1955 and one from 2021. The designs are nearly identical, but guests are encouraged to spot eight differences in the posters.
