EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PRESS RELEASE) – Motorists on northbound US 53 will encounter lane closures from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, April 21 between River Prairie Drive and WIS 312 as bridge engineers from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation inspect the northbound structure over the Eau Claire River. During the inspection, the northbound US 53 on-ramp from River Prairie Drive will be closed to traffic.
Motorists on southbound US 53 will encounter lane closures from 9 a.m. and noon Wednesday, April 23 between WIS 312 and River Prairie Drive as the southbound structure over the Eau Claire River is inspected.
Motorists should expect delays both days and plan their travel accordingly. The work is weather dependent.
