Here’s how much Alabama football spent on private jet travel in 2025

Alabama football spent $1.235 million on private jet travel during 2025, according to an open records request obtained by Front Office Sports/FOIA ball.
Among the 50 schools who responded to the open records request, the Crimson Tide ranked No. 1. That’s not a complete data set by any means, though, considering there are 136 FBS programs.
Rounding out the top five were Nebraska ($1.136 million), Michigan ($1.078 million), Texas A&M ($925,000) and Texas ($624,142).
Other SEC schools mentioned include Kentucky ($624,142) and Ole Miss ($201,639). No other SEC schools were listed.
Front Office Sports made clear this was spending on private jet travel separate from travel to games.
The report mentioned Texas A&M had the most detailed private jet report, taking 39 private jet trips, with 15 designated for “recruiting, medical purposes, or conferences like media days.” Aggies coach Mike Elko used the other 24. Elko’s contract, per FOS, includes 40 hours of flight time.
Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer has 30 hours of flight time written into his contract annually for “non-commercial airline airplane for employee’s personal, non-business travel.” The FOS report didn’t mention how much DeBoer used the plane in 2025.
