Brian Daboll has been exceptional as a head coach for the New York Giants this season. Because of Daboll, the Giants have become one of the dark horses to win the Super Bowl title this season. Despite their great start to the season, they have now lost two back-to-back games against the Lions and the Cowboys, respectively.

Particularly, against the Cowboys, Daboll lost his cool on the sidelines, as he looked really vicious. His behavior drew a lot of criticism from fans and experts. However, American sports commentator and TV personality, Erin Andrews, recently told an interesting story about Daboll. It could change one’s perspective on him.

Erin Andrews talks about the gentle side of the Giants HC Brian Daboll
In her ‘Calm Down Podcast’, Andrews talked about the gentle nature of Daboll, as she said, “You are going to freaking die for him. He sits with the groundkeepers before practice. He goes and hangs out with them because his grandpa was a groundskeeper, and he has so much respect for them.“

Andrews also revealed that Daboll Face timed her from his little hut, where he was sitting with the groundskeeper just to show her. Apart from the groundskeeper, Daboll has respect for other workers as well. Andrews revealed, “He sits with the cafeteria workers.“
In her podcast, Andrews revealed that Daboll talked about learning some things as well. He was in the coaching circuit for more than 25 years. “He said that ‘when people, you have to say ‘hi’ to everyone. Because when you are in this role and people say hi to you and you don’t say hi back, it affects their day,’” Andrews added more.
Another piece of advice Daboll gave to Andrews is, “‘When you are at this level and people walk through your door to talk to you about something, it is the most important thing on their mind and it has been bothering them for weeks and they have wanted to talk to you about it and they finally have… And even though, he may have 700,000 things going on, he needs to realize that is the most important thing on their mind.’“

Notably, this Thursday, the Giants lost their road game against the Cowboys by 28-20. In the first quarter, QB Daniel Jones threw to Isaiah Hodgins for a touchdown. However, the referee flagged a Giants’ offensive lineman for stopping the drive. This call irked the Giants’ HC Daboll, as he looked visibly upset at the referee.

In the end, the Giants had to settle for a field goal. Eventually, this call proved costly for the Giants, which could have won them the game. Nevertheless, the Giants and the HC have shifted their focus on their next game against the Commanders, which is a must-win game for them, if they want to qualify for the playoffs. Currently, they are in the third position in the NFC East division with 7 wins and 3 losses.
