Former Norwegian Cruise Line Executive Arrested By Interpol For Fraud

A former Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) executive was arrested by Interpol agents in Buenos Aires last week, according to travel site CruiseHive. The individual is accused of orchestrating a $2 million fraud scheme that ran for four years without detection.
The indictment for eight counts of wire fraud and identity fraud dates to last October, St. Louis Magazine reports, and involved a Missouri company.
Tom Markwell, 54, served as Senior Director of Events at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings from July 2019 until September 2023. According to federal charges, he and two outside accomplices ran a scheme using a fictitious supplier called
