President Donald Trump will undergo what the White House is calling a “routine yearly checkup” at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday morning.
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt described the visit as an annual exam, though Trump had a physical at Walter Reed about six months ago, in April. At that time, his physician said the president “remains in excellent health.”
Leavitt said Trump will return to the White House after the exam but may travel to the Middle East “shortly thereafter,” where negotiators are working to finalize an Israel-Hamas ceasefire.
