Delta Elevates US Transcontinental Travel, Debuts Premium Select On NYC-LAX Flights

Summary Premium Select now available on transcontinental flights between New York and Los Angeles for better inflight experience on Delta Air Lines.
Delta offers noise-canceling earphones, memory foam pillow, wider seat, premium dining options in new Premium Select cabin.
Delta’s Premium Select product offers elevated experience similar to business class but not as nice, with better amenities and services than economy.
For the first time since the launch of Delta Air Lines’ Premium Select product, the airline will offer it on transcontinental flights between New York and Los Angeles. From September 10, four of Delta’s daily operations between the two cities will have the new product.
Expanding Premium Select
Delta Air Lines is known for being a premium-heavy airline. With arguably the best business class product (or United Airlines Polaris) and service in the US airline industry, Delta has high standards. Today, Delta is the only airline in the ‘Big Three’ (Delta, United, and American Airlines) with inflight entertainment (IFE) at every seat on its mainline aircraft. United is working on retrofitting its planes but has not completed the project.

The Premium Select product was first launched in 2017 and was available on certain transatlantic and trans-Pacific flights. Since then, Delta has expanded the product to additional routes, but domestic passengers have never been able to access it. This is set to change beginning on September 10, when four of Delta’s eleven flights between New York and Los Angeles will feature the Premium Select product.
