ARLINGTON – The Rangers on Wednesday rolled out their broadcast team and the logo for their newly-created Rangers Sports Network, which will allow fans the ability to access games via a number of cable/satellite providers, direct-to-consumer streaming and a limited package of over the air broadcasts.
And they aren’t done yet.
Neil Leibman, chairman of Rangers Sports Media & Entertainment, said in an introductory press conference that there are more deals to come.
“There will be more cable and satellite agreements signed,” Leibman said.

In the initial rollout, the Rangers announced RSN will be available on DIRECTV satellite, its satellite-free streaming service, U-verse and Spectrum. The club is still negotiating with other potential providers to further enlarge the team’s reach.

That is potentially good news for Fubo TV subscribers, who were able to access games on Bally’s Sports Southwest last year. Perhaps not so much for customers of YouTubeTV.
Three people with knowledge of the Rangers’ discussions confirmed to The Dallas Morning News that talks with Fubo remain ongoing. It only makes sense. Fubo focuses primarily on live sports streaming and its channel lineup continues to carry a significant number of regional sports network packages.
On the other hand, YouTubeTV, which did not carry BSSW in 2024, has seemed to back away from the regional sports network model. Currently, the only RSNs on the platform are those operated under the NBC Sports banner by Comcast in New York, Philadelphia, Northern California and Boston.

Also on Wednesday, DIRECTV’s head of communications and community Jon Greer, said that there is no cost increase anticipated ahead of 2025 for consumers who already had a bundle of channels that included Bally Sports Southwest in 2024. Earlier this month, DIRECTV also introduced a sports-centric “skinny” bundle called MySports that will include access to the Rangers Sports Network. The package will retail for $69.99 per month (plus taxes and fees), but is currently being offered at $49.99 (plus taxes and fees) for each of the first three months. By comparison, regional sports networks were only available on “choice” or more premium packages, which are currently advertised starting at $79.99 (plus taxes and fees) per month on a 24-month package.

The Rangers’ stand-alone streaming option will be via Victory+, which is currently advertised for $100 for the full season.
