DES MOINES — This time there was no way Ballard was not advancing at the IHSAA boys state basketball tournament.
After losing in the quarterfinals during each of the previous two seasons, the No. 1 Bombers jumped all over Gilbert from the opening tip, cruising into the Class 3A semifinals with a 70-40 victory over the Tigers at the Casey’s Center.
