“I Didn’t Wash My Clothes..”: $600 Million Rich Shaquille O’Neal Reveals His Tom Cruise Look Inspiration

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal makes sure he always looks good wherever he goes. Be it his expensive suits or the latest sneakers, Shaq never misses an opportunity to look fresh. O’Neal loves to don his superman persona, but this time he took inspiration from a Hollywood superstar. In the latest episode of ‘The Big Podcast With Shaq,’ he had a very peculiar look while talking with co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams.

O’Neal had shades on with a jacket that was Army Green in color with a bunch of stickers embedded in it. And Nischelle Turner brought up a comment which was left by a viewer about the jacket.

Turner stated that a user named Adam Lefko left a comment saying, “I didn’t know Shaq was in Top Gun too.” And you could easily tell that the jacket was somewhat close to what superstar Tom Cruise wore in his popular movie, Top Gun.

NFL veteran Spice Adams just could not control his laughter over the viewer’s comment, while Shaquille O’Neal and Nischelle Turner discussed how that jacket looked pretty spiffy. The four-time NBA champion gave props to the viewer saying, “That’s pretty good Adam Lefko.”
O’Neal then explained, saying, “First of all, this is a Tuskegee Airmen jacket. Look it up, Adam.” But Turner wanted to know more about the backstory of how Shaq got the jacket and what inspired him to wear it. Because it did seem very Top Gun Maverick.

The Big Aristotle revealed, “I didn’t wash my clothes and one of my shoes is dirty so I got some camouflage shoes on and I wanted to match it with the jacket. And plus it’s cold out here in Atlanta.”
The jacket worn by O’Neal was very similar to what Tom Cruise had worn in the movie Top Gun. So it is possible that Shaq might’ve gotten the inspiration from that movie to rock that jacket with his camouflage shoes on.

Shaq does not leave any stone unturned to look his best. And he is always confident in whatever he wears. The $600 million rich NBA legend can choose to wear whatever he likes, as long as he knows he can pull it off.
