PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour ‘The Aristocats’ Scat Cat Lounge on the Disney Treasure

Step into “The Aristocats” with the new Scat Cat Lounge on the Disney Treasure cruise ship. The piano bar is located on deck 3 near the Grand Hall.
Scat Cat Lounge
Named for everyone’s favorite music-loving feline from the film, Scat Cat Lounge will bring the groovy penthouse performance of “Ev’rybody Wants to be a Cat” into the real world for the first time aboard the Disney Treasure. The venue combines the elegance of an old-school jazz club with artistic references to “The Aristocats.” Guests will notice a variety of hidden cat details and nods to the classic film, including the paw-covered piano. A poster hangs outside the venue featuring Scat Cat and other cats enjoying music. The non-character cats are inspired by the pets of the Scat Cat Lounge design team.

The Scat Cat Lounge is inspired by vintage jazz clubs and the penthouse performance of “Ev’erybody Wants to be a Cat.” The centerpiece of the lounge is a baby grand piano, with cat paw prints across it. The original concept art showed a neon sign on the accent wall behind the piano but it either hadn’t been installed before our preview or didn’t make it to the final concept. The black and white stripes of the accent wall continue onto the floor. Golden lanterns of various sizes hang above the piano.
The ornate red and gold carpet includes piano key designs. It’s inspired by the ornate French-style rugs in Madame Adelaide Bonfamille’s Parisian home. Velour-covered chairs are grouped around small round tables.

There are built-in benches with green backs that curve around portholes and circular mirrors.
The wallpaper around the windows and mirrors features plants and “The Aristocats” characters, including members of Scat Cat’s band, Thomas O’Malley, Duchess, and her kittens.
Instead of hidden Mickeys, there are three hidden Roqueforts.
Framed “The Aristocats” concept art hangs on a red wall with brown wood wainscoting.
One piece depicts several cats enjoying the music of Scat Cat.
The other pieces include depictions of Marie, Toulouse, and Berlioz. The artwork is in golden frames.
